Project life cycle
Project-a set of interrelated activities with the constraint of cost and time.
Types of projects:-
Temporary project-it is a routine activity
Unique project-perform to achieve unique goal
Project Life Cycle-projec life cycle is devided into 4 phase
Project charter is the statement describing objective of work,scope of work and gives right to use resources.
Project Manager-Person responsible for achieving project objective.
Portfolio management-manages unrelated projects
Phases of Project Life Cycle:-
1.Initiation/Feasibility/conception stage-problem is identified and alternative solutions are suggested.
2.Definition/Design Phase-Detailed project report(DPR) is prepared in this phase.
3.Execution/Production Phase-procurement of resources starts,intensity of activities are highest in this phase.
4.Termination/Commisioning/Handover phase-Completed project is tested in this phase.
Halo effect:- Assuming a person will be good in other field if he is good in some other field.
Concurrent Engineering(Agile):-Simultaneously performing various phases of project.
